Custom designed kitchens, bathrooms, laundries and wet area cabinetry in Melbourne, Victoria

The Kitchen Place has been designing and building custom-made kitchens since 1978.

When Peter Tredinnick founded the business, he wanted to give Australians the option of a different type of kitchen designer: one more concerned about listening to customers and giving them their perfect kitchen than following trends or meeting sales targets.

Since then, we've helped hundreds of people get their dream kitchens.

Peter's team has grown to include some of the most experienced designers and installers in the business (and grown through exports to Japan and the Maldives with enquiries from the U.S.A.) - they all share the business's vision, which is to create kitchens from a point of you.

We don't just design and install custom indoor kitchens.

We also create stunning outdoor kitchens that help customers take advantage of Australia's warm climate and relaxed lifestyle. And our skills in custom-built cabinetry extend to bathrooms and laundries.

Get started imagining your ideal kitchen

1. Call us

And make an appointment to visit us in one of our two showrooms

2. Do some homework

It really pays to know a little bit about what you want.

3. Come in and speak to us in one of our two showrooms

Plan to spend up to an hour talking to us. We want to know all about you, and your goals so that we can build the kitchen, laundry or bathroom that suits you best.

4. Our designer visits you

The visit will last between an hour and 90 minutes. They'll listen, make notes, take measurements, and find out how you like to use your kitchen. You may have habits you're not even aware of that will affect the design.

5. We start planning and designing your ideal kitchen.

We won't push you into anything; we don't want to start building until we know you'll be 100% delighted with what you get. It's only at this stage that we supply a quote, and you make a commitment to buy.
